- manage and deliver high-level architecture (architecture, HL solution concept), and accept comments on low-level design solutions
- guarantee measurement of quality of the solutions in terms of architecture, according to predefined quality metrics
- assure compliance of designed architecture according to specified domain
- responsible for documentation, architecture definition and track changes to software systems in given domain
- together with project and program managers prepare detailed development lifecycle for all components of designed solution
- implement improvement steps in terms of effectiveness, budget and resources utilization
