Building up a purchasing team 

(Starting a branch for a retail chain) 

The Task

To source of 20 members of the purchasing team for the retail network HQ in Bratislava, Slovakia 

The Selection Criteria

• Experience in administration and customer service.
• Language proficiency (German).
• Ability to work well in teams.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Flexibility to participate in long-term training abroad.

The SYNERGIE Solution

For this project we deployed active search, using advertising tools and references, with focus on the following:

• Identification of potential candidates on the local market.
• Personal interviews using behavioral techniques.

The Result

We assembled a consistent purchasing department team. Many team members were subsequently given the opportunity to advance to senior positions within the company.
