Steps I need to take to cooperate with SYNERGIE

You can contact us via telephone or e-mail (found in the contact section). Additionally, you can fill in our company questionnaire and we will put together a price offer for you (also found in the "contact section"). Your request will be subsequently taken up by a specialized consultant/team with expertise in the given segment. We will contact you, within a 2 working day period.  We take interest in the client’s desired position and send out electronically a copy of the contract on cooperation. We also welcome a face to face meeting with the client. 


What is the mode of cooperation?

Once the contract is signed and the selection criteria specified, we set out immediately to search for suitable candidates. Here, we utilize a combination of several methods – placing adds on the most-visited job search portal; on our website; initiating direct contact of candidates in our database; or use our extensive network of contacts. We can even assist you to elaborate the description of positions you seek to fill, subject to your final approval. And the search can begin.
You will be assigned a dedicated consultant, a specialist in your line of business, who will keep you continually informed on the status of the search. During the whole process, we work closely with you, consulting and proposing alternative approaches if needed. We will also provide you with feedback with regard to applicant expectations and their reactions to the position you seek to fill. From experience we know that communication and feedback is key to filling the advertised position in a timely fashion in a way that meets your expectations and preference. In case you decide not to invite the shortlisted candidate(s) to an interview, we would welcome your feedback on why this was so.  This will help us communicate this information back to the candidate.

How is a standard search for a position?

standard length of time to fill one position takes between 4-6 weeks. This includes the following:

  1. Creation of an ad.
  2. Communication with, and selection of candidates.
  3. Interviews with candidates at our premises.
  4. Elaboration of reports on shortlisted candidates.
  5. 1 to 3 rounds of interviews at the client’s premises.

In case of a specialized position, posts that requires direct contact and/or conducting a detailed market research, it can take between 4-8 weeks.

Who bares the costs of ads?

The cost of advertising on the SYNERGIE website (www.synergie.sk) and selected web portals is covered by SYNERGIE.  In case you prefer a custom-made recruitment campaign, special banners or ad placement hosted on specialized servers, we can take care of the graphical editing and publication. The cost is borne by the client, based on agreement.


Do I pay beforehand or after the candidate is found?

The client pays for the services only after a particular candidate(s) starts on the job. Moreover, the contract contains a “guarantee period” in case the cooperation was ended – either by the candidate or the client.


What information is required to start the search?

The job position should contain the following information:

  • The scope of duties and responsibilities – listed in order of importance (main responsibilities/supplemental responsibilities).
  • The candidate’s profile: skills/practical experience, knowledge/competences, personal traits.
  • Salary range, company benefits or bonuses.
  • Place of work or requirements for commuting (if applicable).
  • Structure of the department, including direct superior, the number of subordinates.
  • Information about the selection process (who takes part in the selection process).
  • The reason why the position was created.

Do I need to mention information on salary/ benefits/bonuses?

Yes, it is useful for us to know the salary range for the position in order to more precisely match the person to the job. We have to be able to asses whether a given candidate is suitable for the position in terms of his/her present salary and future expectations. SYNERGIE does not disclose the salary range to the candidate(s) – the information only serves us to fine-tune the recruitment process.
A list of additional bonuses or benefits serves as one of key motivating factors for applicants. Moreover, the question about the system of benefits is among the most often asked by candidates.


What recruitment methods does Synergie use?

Our consultants rely on the following methods:

  • Structured interviews focusing on the candidate’s skills (inquiry about specific working experience(s); the team structure in which the candidate has worked/is working; his/her direct superior; reasons for leaving, to name a few.
  • The behavioral method (simulation involving solving/ handling specific situations in the job environment to asses the competencies of the candidate for a specific position).
  • Questions relating to candidate’s the motivation/ values (in general, and with regard to the new employer).
  • Assessment of language skills / either over the course of the interview or by a test.

Can the client attend the first interview at the agency?

Definitely yes - each recruitment procedure is tailor-made to the requirements of the client. A client’s direct involvement in the interview process provides a valuable source of information makes the pre-selection of the candidates more effective.


Do I pay the full cost if the employment terminates in the trial period?

In case the employment is terminated before the end of the trial period, SYNERGIE will provide the client a replacement candidate free of charge within the period agreed with the client. The usual period for a replacement candidate is about a month; in more involved cases it is based on agreement with the client.


What are the charges for Executive Search services?

The Executive Search service is always tailor-made to fit the requirements of the client. The same applies to fees. It differs from the standard recruitment procedure in that the client is asked to pre-pay a portion of the total cost. The overall price is commensurate with the challenge of finding a candidate for the position.


Can I enter into a long-term cooperation with SYNERGIE - a year-long recruitment?

The length of cooperation is determined based on agreement and the needs of the client. Thus, the length of the contract is subject to mutual contractual agreement, as is the scope of the recruitment project (recruitment of entire teams, start-up projects, etc.). Also, mutual cooperation can be established by a framework agreement between the client and SYNERGIE.
