
Children with cancer (Ďeťom s rakovinou)
The non-profit organization was established in December 2015 and operates directly at the Clinic of Pediatric Hematology and Oncology of the National Institute of Pediatric Diseases in Bratislava. In 2016, they became a valid member of the organization Childhood Cancer International (CCI) and defends the interests of Slovak oncology children patients.


- The main goal: to build a top children’s oncology clinic
- The charity was created at the initiative of parents of children who had cancer and in this way they want to share and support parents who are going through the same
- It was established in December 2015 and operates directly at the Department of Pediatric Oncology and Hematology of the National Institute of Pediatric Diseases in Bratislava
- Since 2016, it has been a legal member of the international organization Childhood Cancer International (CCI)
- At the clinic, they facilitate routine activities (e.g. with new electrical appliances) by providing everyday practical kitchen and hygiene needs
- Each new patient receives a so-called “starter pack”
- They are also dedicated to direct assistance in the form of contributions to selected families in a bad social situation, talking to parents not only at regular meetings, but also through personal conversations
- They support art therapy for children and organize various events
