Build data platforms that actually run in production

We are looking for a Snowflake Data Engineer who wants more than maintaining a few ETL jobs.

You’ll work on modern data platforms where Snowflake is at the centre of the solution, with real ownership across data pipelines, warehouse design, migrations, performance, cost optimisation and production reliability.

This is a good fit for someone who enjoys getting deep into the technical side of data engineering and wants to work on larger, complex environments while still staying hands-on.

The role is based in the Czech Republic with a hybrid setup in Prague and comes with permanent employment.

What will you work on?

You will design, build and improve data solutions running on Snowflake.

Your work can include:

• Designing and developing scalable ETL / ELT pipelines
• Building and improving Snowflake data warehouses and data models
• Working on migrations from traditional or on-premise DWH environments to Snowflake
• Optimising Snowflake queries, warehouses, performance and cost
• Developing reliable data transformation and ingestion processes
• Improving data quality, governance and security
• Working with RBAC, access management, masking and other Snowflake security concepts
• Building monitoring and alerting for production data pipelines
• Integrating Snowflake with modern cloud and data engineering tools
• Working with CI/CD and automated deployment practices
• Collaborating with architects, engineers, analysts and business stakeholders
• Helping shape technical solutions rather than simply implementing predefined tickets

Depending on the project, you may also work with technologies such as dbt, Snowpark, Snowpipe, Streams & Tasks, Dynamic Tables, Airflow, Terraform and cloud-native data services.

Požiadavky

You should have:

• Commercial, hands-on experience with Snowflake
• Strong SQL
• Experience building or maintaining ETL / ELT pipelines
• Good understanding of data warehousing and data modelling
• Experience working with production data environments
• Understanding of performance optimisation and efficient Snowflake resource usage
• Experience with at least one major cloud platform such as AWS, Azure or GCP
• Ability to understand a data solution end-to-end, not only one isolated component
• English that allows you to work comfortably in an international engineering environment

Most importantly, you should be able to explain what you personally designed, built, migrated, optimised or operated in Snowflak
